Streusel Coffee Cake

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp. almond extract
- Crumb Topping:
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup butter
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat butter and cream cheese at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy. Gradually add sugar, beating at medium speed until light and fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating just until yellow disappears.
- Sift together flour and next 3 ingredients; add to butter mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Beat at low speed just until blended after each addition. Stir in vanilla and almond extracts. Pour batter into a greased 13 × 9-inch pan, sprinkle with Crumb Topping.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Let cool 20 minutes before serving.

Crumb Topping:
- Stir together 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans inn a bowl. Cut in 1/4 up butter with a pastry blender of or fork until mixture resembles small peas.
