Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. ginger
- 1/4 tsp. allspice
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. cloves
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup sorghum
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Directions
- Sift all dry ingredients together and set aside.
- Combine all wet ingredients, mix well. Add the dry ingredients until all mixed together.
- Bake in greased and floured 8-inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
