Ingredients
- 1 cup old fashioned oats
- 3/4 cup milk or water
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup chopped toasted pecans
Directions
- Add the pecans to a skillet and heat over low heat stirring until a toasted brown color. Set aside to cool.
- Pour the old fashioned oats and milk into a medium sized bowl. Microwave for approximately 1 minute or until oats are softened.
- Add the brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Stir to combine.
- Add in some of the toasted pecans and mix into the oatmeal. Top with remaining pecans.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
