Ingredients
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 5 cups self-rising flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 cup shortening
- 2 cups buttermilk
Directions
- Dissolve yeast In warm water. Cut shortening into dry ingredients all at once. This makes a stiff dough. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Roll amount of dough needed on lightly floured board. Cut out biscuits and place on greased pan. Bake 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
