Ingredients
- 8 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. granulated sugar
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 1 cup shortening, melted
- 1 (0.25 oz.) pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1/4 cup warm water
Directions
- Sift dry ingredients together. Add the buttermilk, melted shortening and yeast. Put in refrigerator for 12 hours, punching down if it rises.
- Roll out on floured board and use as desired. keep remaining dough in refrigerator and use as needed.
- Bake in lightly greased pan 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees. You can bake 1 or 2 biscuits, or the whole thing if you wish.
