Ingredients
- 6 reed-skinned all-purpose apples
- 3 x 1 inch piece orange or lemon rind
- 1 cup sugar
- Cream (optional)
Directions
- Wash apples, core and peel. Put peelings and orange rind in blender with 1 cup water. Whirl until finely grated. Cut apples in eighths and put in saucepan with the sugar. Add grated peelings and 1/2 cup water. Bring to boil, stirring occasionally, about 40 minutes. Serve slightly warm with cream or serve asd topping for puddings, waffles or pancakes.
