Chocolate Caramel Layer Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 pk. Pillsbury Chocolate Cake Mix
  • 1/2 c. melted butter
  • 1 c. Evaporated Milk
  • 35 caramels
  • 1 pk (12 oz) mini semi sweet candy coated chocolate pieces

Directions

  1. Grease 13 × 9 pan

  2. Combine cake mix, butter, 2/3 c. con. milk.

  3. Spread 1/2 batter (2 cups) into pan.

  4. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.

  5. While baking, heat caramels with 1/3 con. milk over low heat until melted, stir constantly.

  6. Remove pan from oven, sprinkle with 1 c. candy pieces. Drizzle with caramel. Drop remaining batter by teaspoons over caramel mix.

  7. Sprinkle with remaining candy.

  8. Return to over and bake for 20-24 minutes.

  9. Cool 1 hour until cooled.
