Ingredients
- 1 lb. pork sausage
- 2 cups uncooked rice
- 2 lb. onions, cut fine
- 2 celery stalks, cut fine
- 1 bell pepper, cut fine
- 3 pkg. dry noodle soup
- 9 cups boiling water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 lb. slivered almonds
Directions
- Fry sausage; brown rice in sausage grease. Add onions, celery and pepper; simmer for 15 minutes.
- Cook soup in water for 10 minutes. Add salt and pepper. Pour over mixture in casserole dish; bake 1 hour 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Add more water if needed ; put almonds on top while baking.
