Ingredients
- 8 oz. almond paste
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 2 egg whites
- 1/2 tsp. almond extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 30 dark chocolate kisses
- 1 tsp. coarse sea salt
Directions
- Heat oven to 325 degrees. Line baking sheets with parchment paper; lightly coat with cooking spray.
- Crumble almond paste into food processor, pulse until finely chopped. Add powdered sugar, egg whites, almond extract and 1/4 tsp. salt; pulse until combined. Process 30 seconds or until smooth, scraping sides as necessary.
- Drop scant 1 Tbsp. dough per cookie onto baking sheets.
- Bake 15 to 18 minutes or until set and lightly browned around edges. Remove from oven; immediately push chocolate kiss into center of each cookie. Let stand on baking sheet on wire rack 2 to 4 minutes or until chocolate is slightly melted; lightly sprinkle sea salt over chocolate. Place cookies on rack; cool completely.
