Cashew Caramel Brownie

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 c softened butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 oz. unsweetened chocolate , melted, cooled
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 1 1/4 c flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 c chocolate chips
  • 1 c chopped cashews
  • Topping;
  • 16 caramels
  • 3 tbsp milk

Directions

  1. Line 2 9 in square pans with foil that extends over the sides of the pan, grease foil lightly.

  2. Combine brown sugar and butter, beat until light and fluffy.

  3. Add eggs 1 at a time, beat well each time.

  4. Add cooled chocolate and vanilla, blend well.

  5. Add flour and salt, mix well.

  6. Fold in chocolate chips.

  7. Pour into pans. Sprinkle cashews over batter.

  8. ke at 325 for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool 30.

  9. Topping: Combine ingredients and cook over low, stirring frequently until melted and smooth. Drizzle over brownies.

  10. Cool 1 hr.
