Ingredients
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds
- 1/2 cup pitted prunes, cut in quarters
- 2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten
Directions
- Spread almonds in 9-inch pie plate and toast in preheated 300 degrees oven 10 minutes. Top with prunes.
- In saucepan, scald milk, then stir in sugar, stirring constantly. Pour over almonds and prunes, place pie plate in shallow baking dish, fill dish with 1 inch of hot water and bake 55 minutes, or until set. Remove from water, cool on rack, then chill.
