Ingredients
- 1/2 pkg. elbow or broken macaroni (uncooked)
- 1/2 lb. sharp American cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- Dash of cayenne
- Buttered crumbs or grated cheese for topping.
Directions
- Cook macaroni in rapidly boiling water. Drain.
- Melt cheese over low heat in top of double boiler. Gradually add the milk stirring well after each addition. Add seasonings.
- Place macaroni in a casserole and pour the sauce over it, mixing with a fork. Cover with crumbs or grated cheese and bake in moderate oven, 350 degrees, 15 minutes.
- Spaghetti, noodles or rice may be used instead of macaroni.
