Ingredients
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 cup apples- peeled, cored and shredded
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Directions
- Preheat oven to 50 degrees. Grease a 9x 5 × 3 inch loaf pan.
- Mix flour, baking powder, soda, salt and nuts.
- Stir in vanilla. Stir in shredded apples. Pour flour mixture into batter. Stir only until moistened. Scrape into loaf pan.
- Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Let stand 10 minutes, then remove from pan. Place on a wire rack to cool.
