Apricot Glazed Turkey and Yams

Ingredients

  • 15 lb. turkey
  • 1 1/2 cups apricot preserves
  • 1/2 cup KARO light corn syrup
  • 3 Tbsp. sherry
  • 3/4 tsp. ground ginger
  • 8 Louisiana Yams, cooked and peeled or 3 (23 oz.) cans yams, drained.

Directions

  1. Prepare turkey according to package instructions

  2. Mix together next 4 ingredients and heat to boiling. Remove from heat. During last 30 minutes of cooking, spoon 1 cup glaze over yams in shallow baking dish and brush turkey frequently with remaining glaze.
