Apple Crisp Delight

Ingredients

  • 6 to 8 apples, quartered
  • 1/2 cup butter or fortified margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

  1. Place apples in greased 2-quart baking dish.

  2. Blend together, as for making pie dough, the butter, sugar, flour and cinnamon. Work until crumbly, then pack closely over apples. If apples are very dry, a little water may be placed in the bottom of the dish.

  3. Bake 45 to 60 minutes in moderate oven (375 degrees).

  4. Serve warm with a little whipped cream or lemon sauce.
