Ingredients

• 2 cups flour
• 2 Tbsp. sugar
• 1 Tbsp. baking powder
• 1 tsp. cinnamon
• 1 tsp. salt
• 1/2 cup margarine
• 2/3 cup milk
• 1 egg
• 2 cups chopped apple
• 1/2 cup chopped nuts
• 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
• 1/4 cup margarine, melted
• 1 tsp. cinnamon
• 1 cup sifted confectioners' sugar
• 2 Tbsp. milk

Directions

1. Combine dry ingredients; cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add combined milk and egg, mixing just until moistened. Spread onto bottom of greased 9-inch square pan.

2. Combine apple, nuts, brown sugar, margarine and cinnamon; spoon over batter. Bake at 375 degrees, 45 to 50 minutes, or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Combine confectioners’ sugar and milk. Drizzle over top.
