Asparagus in Their Own Juices

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. medium to large asparagus
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 Tbsp. butter

Directions

  1. Peel asparagus spears and cut off and discard bottom 1 inch.

  2. Combine salt and water in a non-aluminum skillet. Cover, place over high heat and bring to a boil. Remove cover. Add asparagus and cook, gently shaking pan, about 5 minutes or until most of the water evaporates. Stir in butter. Transfer to a serving platter and serve immediately.
