Aunt Sue’s Breakfast Casserrole

Ingredients

  • 1 lb of sausage cook and drain
  • 6 eggs beaten well
  • 2 cups of milk
  • salt and pepper
  • mushroom pieces drained (optional)
  • 1 cup or more of shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • loaf bread 1/4 pieces

Directions

  1. Buttern bottom of baking dish

  2. Layer bread on bottom of baking dish

  3. Place sausage on top of bread spread evenly

  4. Pour eggs, milk, and mushroom pieces on top evenly

  5. Refrigerate overnight

  6. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees done when knife in center comes out clean
