Ingredients
- 6 medium apples
- 1 cup chopped dry roasted peanuts, divided
- 9-inch unbaked pie shell
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup wheat germ
- 1/2 cup unsifted all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
Directions

Pare and core apples; slice thin; mix with 1/4 cup of chopped peanuts. Arrange in pie shell. Combine remaining peanuts, brown sugar, graham cracker crumbs, wheat germ, flour, spices and salt; mix well.

Spread over apples. Spoon butter carefully over top. Bake at 375 degrees about 45 minutes or until apples are tender and rim of crust is golden brown.
