Callie’s Sloshy Dog

Ingredients

  • Salt
  • 1 grapefruit
  • 2 to 4 Tbsp. sugar
  • 4 oz. vodka
  • 2 cups ice
  • 1 to 1 1/2 oz. Elderflower liqueur such as St. Germain
  • sprigs of mint or basil, lightly smacked

Directions

  1. Moisten the rim of 2 glasses with water or juice. Dip rims in salt; set aside.

  2. Peel the grapefruit, but leave the membrane intact. Add the grapefruit. sugar and vodka to the canister of a blender. Let stand for 10 minutes. Add 2 cups ice and process until smooth. Pour into salt-rimmed glasses. Divide St. Germain between the 2 glasses. Garnish with mint or basil.
