Ingredients
- DRY INGREDIENTS
- 2 1/4 all purpose flour (or cake flour)
- 1 t baking powder
- 3/4 t baking soda
- 3/4 t cinnamon
- 3/4 t cloves
- 3/4 t salt
- 1 C white sugar
- Stir together with whisk
- WET INGREDIENTS
- 3/4 C Crisco solid
- 3/4 C brown sugar
- 1 C buttermilk
- Mix together wet ingredients with mixer AND add dry ingredients slowly
- BEAT 2 MINUTES ON MEDIUM
- ADD;
- 2 eggs
- BEAT ANOTHER 2 MINUTES
- Grease and flour pans-I line bottom with parchment paper
- Bake at 350 for about 30-35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean-maybe less that 30 minutes
- COOL
- Frost with white frosting and sprinkle with toasted pecan pieces
