Fruit Cocktail Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 large can fruit cocktail
  • 1 1/2 C sugar
  • 2 C all purpose flour
  • 2 t soda
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 2 eggs
  • Top liquid cake e batter with:
  • 1/2 C brown sugar
  • 1/2 C broken pecans
  • Icing
  • 1 C butter
  • 3/4 C white sugar
  • 1/2 C Pet milk
  • 1/2 C cocoanut

Directions

  1. Mix all together except eggs

  2. Add eggs-BEat

  3. Fold in fruit cocktail, including juice

  4. Pour into greased and floured 9X13

  5. Top with sugar, pecans pieces

  6. Bake350 deg for 45 minutes to 1 hour

  7. As soon as remove from oven: Pour on icing mixture (except cocoanut) which has been boiled 2 minutes. Then add to icing the cocoanut.

  8. Top hot cake
