Ingredients
- 1 cup uncooked long-grain rice
- 4 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- Pinch ground nutmeg or cinnamon
Directions

Set the rack in the middle of the oven. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees. Butter a 1 1/2 qt. – baking dish.

Combine all ingredients in the baking dish. Stir well. Place in the center of the oven and bake uncovered for 90 minutes.

Remove the dish from the oven and let cool.

Serve warm, sprinkled with a pinch of nutmeg if desired.
