Argentinean Hot Dog

Ingredients

  • For the marinated queso fresco:
  • 4 oz. queso fresco, crumbled
  • 2 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp. crushed garlic
  • Zest of 1/2 lemon
  • Salt and ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 grilled beef hot dogs
  • 2 hot dog buns
  • 4 oz. chorizo sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • Chimichurri
  • Pickled red onions

Directions

  1. To make the marinated queso fresco: Combine the cheese, olive oil, garlic and lemon zest and mix well.

  2. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

  3. To assemble: Place grilled hot dogs in buns, top with cooked chorizo, chimichurri, pickled red onions and marinated queso fresco.
