Ancho Grilled Strip Filets

Ingredients
- 2 black Canyon Strip filets, cut 1 1/2 to 2 inches thick, 8 oz. each
- Salt and pepper
- Ancho chili rub:
- 1 Tbsp. ground ancho chili powder
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves, crushed
- 1 tsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp. freshly grated orange peel
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
Directions

Combine rub ingredients; press evenly onto filets.

Place filets on grid over medium, ash-covered coals, grill filets, covered, 10 to 12 minutes for medium rare doneness, turning once; do not overcook. Season with salt and pepper, as desired.
