Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp. anise seeds (or anise drops to taste)
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

beat eggs and sugar together for 20 minutes, by hand or in electric mixer at low speed. Add anise seeds and gradually stir in the flour.

Drop by half teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheets. Let this stand before baking. Bake in 325 degree oven until cookies are pale yellow color on bottom, about 12 minutes. If cookies get too hard in the storing process, put a couple of pieces of white bread in the tin with cookies. This will soften them somewhat.
