Antipasto Sandwiches

Serves 4 people

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf (1 lb.) Italian or French bread, about 10 inches long
  • 1 head lettuce
  • 1 pkg. (8 oz.) hard salami
  • 6 to 8 oz. provolone or mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced
  • 24 ripe olives
  • 2 tomatoes, cut in wedges
  • Pickled mild Italian peppers
  • Bottled Italian salad dressing

Directions

  1. Slice breads lengthwise into four flat pieces. Top each slice with lettuce.

  2. Arrange salami. cheese and olives on top. Garnish with tomato wedges and peppers. Serve with Italian dressing. Serve open- face.
