Chili Con Carne

Serves 6 people

Ingredients

  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 1 med. onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cups green pepper, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 cups cooked kidney beans
  • 1 cup tomato puree

Directions

  1. Fry beef.

  2. Add onions, celery, green peppers, and garlic and sauté with beef.

  3. Stir in tomatoes and tomato puree.

  4. Add seasonings.

  5. Cover and simmer 45-60 minutes.

  6. Add beans and simmer 30 minutes longer.
