Ingredients
- 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
- 2 tbsp chopped onion
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 3 tbsp flour
- 14.5 oz can chicken broth
- 2 cups chopped seeded peeled plum tomatoes
- 2 tbsp minced fresh basil
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
Directions

In a large saucepan, saute mushrooms and onion in butter until tender. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. Remove vegetables with a slotted spoon and set aside. In the same pan, combine flour and broth until smooth. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 1-2 minutes or until thickened.

Return mushroom mixture to saucepan. Add the tomatoes, basil, sugar, salt and pepper. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes or until heated through.
