Tasty-n- Tender Round Steak

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs. beef round steak, 1/2 inch thick, cut into small pieces
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

Directions

  1. Combine flour, dry mustard, salt and pepper. Coat steak. Reserve the remaining flour mixture.

  2. Melt shortening in skillet and brown steak. Push meat to the side after browned. Add remaining flour mixture to pan. Add water and Worcestershire sauce to pan. Cook and stir until thickened. Reduce heat and simmer covered for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
