Torte

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 2/3 C sugar
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 2/3 C flour
  • 1/2 C cornstarch
  • whipping cream
  • fruit
  • Glaze
  • 1 C orange juice
  • 1
  • 1/2 C hot water
  • 1/2 C lemon juice
  • 3 T cornstarch
  • 3/4 C confectioner sugar (or sugar)
  • Top with slivered almonds

Directions

  1. Beat eggs and gradually add sugar and salt, beating until volume doubles and mounds slightly when dropped from spoon

  2. Sift flour and 1/2 C cornstarch over egg mixture and FOLD in egg mixt.

  3. Pour into 2 greased and floured 9 inch layer pans.

  4. Layer:

  6. Whipping cream

  7. Fruit

  8. AND repeat layers

  9. Glaze:

  10. Mix together orange and lemon juice, hot water, 3 T cornstarch and 3/4 C conf sugar and top with almonds
