Ingredients

• 4 1/2 cups apples, peeled and chopped
• 1 cup nuts
• 1 cup coconut
• 1 1/2 cups sugar
• 3 cups flour
• 1 tsp. baking soda
• 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
• 1 cup vegetable oil
• 3 eggs
• 2 tsp. vanilla extract
• Icing:
• 1/2 cup milk
• 1/4 cup butter or margarine
• 3/4 cup brown sugar

Directions

1. Combine apples, nuts, coconut and sugar. Add flour, soda and cinnamon. Mix in oil, eggs and vanilla. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.

2. For Icing:

3. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and cook 2 1/2 minutes after butter melts. Pour over hot cake after poking holes in it with a knife. Cool and turn from pan.
