Apple Ginger Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. (13 oz.) gingerbread mix
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup applesauce
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1 can (21 oz.) apple pie filling

Directions

  1. Combine gingerbread mix, water and applesauce. Beat 2 minutes; add nuts.

  2. Spread apple pie filling and raisins in 9-inch square greased baking pan. Top with gingerbread mixture.

  3. Bake 30 minutes at 375 degrees. Remove from oven and invert cake on serving rack. Serve warm of cooled with a dollop of whipped cream.
