Ingredients
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 tsp.. salt
- 1/3 cup quick-cooking tapioca
- 2 cups fresh or dried fruit
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 Tbsp, butter
Directions

Mix sugar, water, salt an tapioca and heat to boiling.

Arrange fruit and tapioca in alternate layers in greased baking dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon, dot with butter and bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) 1 1/2 hours. Serve hot or cold with cream or any desired sauce.

Fresh fruit such as apples, peaches, apricots, tart cherries or cranberries or any dried fruit may be used.

Pudding may be topped with meringue if desired.
