Apple Streusel Coffeecake with Cinnamon Caramel Glaze

Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter OR margarine
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/8 tsp . salt
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 can apple pie filling
- 1 tsp. grated lemon peel
- 1/2 cup white raisins
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- Glaze:
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/3 cup hot evaporated milk
Directions

Combine flour and sugar in bowl. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly; remove 1/2 cup of this mixture and set aside.

To remaining mixture, add the baking powder, soda and salt; set aside; combine egg an sour cream; add to dry ingredients, and stir just until moistened.

Spread two-thirds of batter over bottom and partially up sides of greased 9-inch springform pan.

Combine pie filling, lemon peel, raisins and nuts. Spoon over batter. Drop spoonfuls of remaining batter over the filling. Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until done.

To make the glaze:

Put all ingredients in blender (make sure milk is hot), cover nd process on high until sugar is dissolved; set aside, cool coffeecake slightly and drizzle with glaze.
