Ingredients
- 2 Eggland's Best Eggs
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. anise extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 to 1 1/2 tsp. aniseed
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- Colored icing and sanding sugar
Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

In large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in Eggland’s Bet eggs and anise extract.

Combine the flour, aniseed, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well.

Shape into 1-inch balls and place on greased baking sheets. Flatten with a glass dipped in sugar.

Bake at 375 degrees for 6 to 7 minutes or until set. Cool on wire racks.

Decorate cookies with colored icing and sanding sugar.
