Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 28 oz can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 15 oz can tomato sauce
- 2 cups water
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 8 oz uncooked whole wheat spaghetti, broken in half
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
- Additional chopped parsley

In a 6-qt stockpot, cook and crumble the beef with garlic over medium heat for 5-7 minutes; drain. Add the sugar, seasonings, tomatoes, tomato sauce, water and 1/4 cup parsley; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, covered, 5 minutes.

Add spaghetti; return to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; cook 8-10 minutes. Stir in cheese. Sprinkle with parsley.
