Source: Tried and true
Categories: cheesecake, dessert
Ingredients
- 2 cup fruit flavored wine - I recommend a very sweet wine
- 1-2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2-3 tbsp cold wine
Directions
-
Over medium high heat, bring 2 cup wine to a boil for 2-3 minutes
-
In a separate bowl, mix 1 tbsp cornstarch and approx 1 to 1 1/2 tbsp wine until cornstarch is fully dissolved
-
Add cornstarch mixture to wine
-
Heat stirring constantly
-
Boil 2 – 3 minutes
-
If it is not thickening enough, repeat cornstarch procedure again.
-
Sauce should begin to thicken as it boils, giving a gummy like appearance.
-
Remove from heat and let cool, sauce will thicken further as it cools
-
Mix into cheesecake, or use as sauce topping for prepared cheesecake
