Ingredients
- 2 lbs. small red potatoes
- 4 garlic cloves, smashed
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 3 tbsp. butter
- 2 tbsp. chopped dill
- 2 scallions, sliced
- salt and pepper, to taste
Directions

Place potatoes and garlic in a pot; cover with salted water. Bring to a boil, then simmer until tender, 15-20 minutes. Reserve 1 cup of cooking water; drain.

Mash the potatoes with 1/2 cup cooking water, buttermilk, butter, dill and scallions, adding the remaining cooking water as needed. Season with salt and pepper.
