Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 small finely chopped onions, divided
- 15 oz. can tomato puree
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp. chili powder
- 1 tbsp. finely chopped green pepper
- 1 tbsp. white vinegar
- 2 tsp ground mustard
- 1 tsp hot pepper sauce
- 1 tsp onion salt
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 4 cups water
- 8 hot dogs
- 1 package hot dog buns, split
- Yellow mustard
Directions

In a large saucepan, cook and crumble beef over medium heat until no longer pink, 8-10 minutes; drain.. Add one chopped onion and next 10 ingredients; simmer 1 hour, stirring frequently.

Cook hot dogs as directed. Place in buns and top with chili, remaining chopped onion and yellow mustard.
