Anise Peaches

Ingredients

  • 1 can (1 lb.) peach halves
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
  • 1 2-inch cinnamon stick
  • 3/4 tsp. anise seed

Directions

  1. Drain peaches, reserving syrup. In a saucepan, combine syrup, sugar, vinegar, cinnamon and anise. Bring to a boil and boil 5 minutes. let stand 24 hours before serving with ham, poultry or pork.
