Ingredients
- 2 apples, pared, cored and thinly sliced
- 1 cup water
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp. sugar (or equivalent sugar substitute)
- 1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1/4 cup brandy or rum
- 1 quart vanilla ice milk
Directions

Combine apples and water in a saucepan. Mix cornstarch, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg; stir into apples.

Cook over, medium heat, stirring often, 6 minutes, or until apples are just tender nd sauce is thickened. (If sugar substitute is used, add after apples are cooked.)

Spoon half-cup servings of ice milk into 8 sherbet glasses. Pour apple mixture into chafing dish. Keep warm. Pour brandy or rum over warm apples; ignite. Spoon flaming apples over ice milk; serve immediately.
