Ingredients
- 1/2 cup beer
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 tbsp. Worcestershire
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
- 6 beef top loin steaks

For marinade, in a small saucepan, combine beef, onion, ketchup, sugar, lemon juice, Worcestershire, chili powder, and crushed red pepper. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Cool.

Score both sides of steaks in a diamond pattern by making shallow diagonal cuts at 1-inch intervals. Place steaks in a large Ziploc bag set in a deep bowl. Add marinade. Seal bag; turn to coat steaks. Marinate in fridge for at least 1 hour or up to 24 hours; turning bag occasionally.

Drain steaks; reserve marinade. Grill steaks on the rack of an uncovered grill directly over medium to desired doneness, turning once. Place the reserved marinade in saucepan; bring to boiling. Boil gently, uncovered, for 2 minutes. Serve with steaks.
