Rolled Wheat Cookies

Makes about 4 dozen cookies.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup fat (margarine or butter)
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 or 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups uncooked quick rolled wheat

Directions

  1. Mix fat and both kinds of sugar.

  2. Add eggs and beat well.

  3. Mix in flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

  4. Stir in rolled wheat.

  5. Let dough stand 20 monutes or chill several hours in refrigerator.

  6. Drop dough from a teaspoon on a greased baking pan.

  7. Bake at 375*F (moderate oven) about 10 minutes until lightly browned.
