Taco Noodle Dish

Ingredients

  • 3 cups uncooked wide egg noodles
  • 2 lbs. ground turkey
  • 1 envelope taco seasoning
  • 1 tsp each chili and onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 4 oz. can chopped green chilies
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar
  • Toppings:
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/3 cup sliced ripe olives
  • 1/2 cup taco sauce
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350. Cook noodles al dente as directed; drain.

  2. In a nonstick skillet, cook turkey until no longer pink; drain. Stir in seasonings, tomato sauce, chilies and water; simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes.

  3. In a greased 11×7-in. dish, layer noodles, turkey mixture and cheese. Bake, uncovered, until cheese melts, 10-15 minutes. Add toppings.
