Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sliced carrot
- 1/2 cup sliced celery
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 3 tbsp. butter
- 1 cup uncooked long grain rice
- 2 cups hot water
- 2 tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 tsp sugar
- 2 tsp dried parsley
- 2 tsp chicken bouillon granules
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 2 1/2 cups frozen peas, thawed
Directions

In a saucepan, saute carrot, celery and onion in butter for 3-5 minutes. Stir in rice, water, soy sauce, sugar and seasonings. Simmer, covered, until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender, about 15 minutes. Add peas; cover and heat through.
