Ingredients
- 1 lb. mixed dried fruits, cut up
- 1/2 cup dried dates
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1 cup syrup from any canned fruit
- 2 tbsp. gin
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 (8-inch) unbaked pastry shell PLUD more for lattice top
- Creamy Hard Sauce
Directions

Chop mixed fruit and dates and place, along with the raisins, in a large saucepan. Add syrup, gin and sugar. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until liquid is absorbed. Taste to check for desired sweetness. Add more sugar, if desired. Cool.

Pour into unbaked pastry shell and arrange lattice pastry on top. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 325 degrees and bake 25 minutes more or until pastry is brown. Serve hot with Creamy Hard Sauce.
