Aunt Ruth’s Fudge

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) margarine
  • 4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 25 large marshmallows
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
  • 2 squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 (13 oz.) Hershey's milk chocolate bar OR 2 (7 oz. bars)
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Directions

  1. Generously grease a 9 × 13-inch baking dish; set aside.

  2. In a heavy pot melt margarine and sugar over medium-low heat, stirring until smooth. Add milk and cook, stirring, until heated through.

  3. Stir in marshmallows and bring to low boil. Remove from heat and add the chocolate and the milk chocolate.

  4. Stir until smooth. Stir in the nuts. Pour mixture into the nuts. Pour mixture into prepared pan. Once set, cut into squares.
