Bacon and Bean Rarebit

Serves 6 people

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup diced bacon
  • 1 Tbsp. finely minced onion
  • 1 cup canned baked beans
  • 1/2 cup canned tomato soup
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup minced American cheese

Directions

  1. Place bacon in a skillet. Add onion. Cook until golden brown. Add beans, tomato soup, mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well.

  2. Cook for 10 minutes, or until thoroughly heated. Add cheese. Stir slowly, until cheese is melted. Spoon, while hot, into wide mouth vacuum bottle.
