Bacon Cheese Nut Bread

Ingredients

  • 12 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
  • 1 egg
  • 3 cups biscuit mix
  • 3/4 cup shredded sharp cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 Tbsp. minced onion
  • Dash Tabasco sauce
  • 3/4 cup coarsely chopped walnuts

Directions

  1. Beat egg lightly. Stir in biscuit mix and shredded cheese, add milk, onion and Tabasco sauce. Mix well. The dough will be stiff.

  2. Stir in bacon and walnuts. Turn into greased 9 × 5 × 3 inch pan.

  3. Bake in 350 degree oven for 50 minutes or until loaf tests done. Le stand 5 minutes; then turn out onto cake rack to cool.
